Educators have been hearing about the importance of a growth mindset for many years and we often share with students that we believe they all can learn and grow. However, as students reach puberty we notice a shift as they begin to value peers' opinions more than the opinions of adults in their lives. In this session, participants will learn about mentor mindset and how they can use this leadership style to develop strong, trusting relationships with young people while also inspiring them to reach their full potential. Participants will leave with ideas they can immediately use in their classroom and anywhere else they work with young people.
Financial Literacy teachers will be able to go through curriculum used and explore ways to engage with their students more on the subjects that are covered in class. We will also be looking at possible curriculum needs for the class.
