The Miami School has been through several transitions in its history. There is still a lot unknown about what the program is and how it works. This is an information session to share more about the program, such as daily schedules, instructional model, attendance, opportunities, resources, etc.
Are you new to being an Educational Assistant or looking for new ideas to incorporate to further support your students? In this session, we will be discussing effective techniques for fostering student engagement, managing challenging behaviors and collaborating with teachers to promote student success. You will leave with strategies you can implement to create a supportive learning environment for all students.
The need for diversity and representation in children's literature will be discussed, along with sharing of some newish titles by a wide range of authors. Focus will be on grades Kindergarten through upper elementary level, including picture books, easy readers, and chapter books. All lucky attendees will receive 2-4 free books.
