Did you participat in the EL & ESL session during our virtual professional development on 11-5? We are happy to be bringing you part 2 of the EL & ESL session. In this session we will take a deep dive into a close reading and language dive and add scaffolds that will ensure our multilingual students are able to successfully access the curriculum. You will leave this session with a close read or language dive lesson to teach within the next two weeks to your class. We cannot wait to work with you all again!
Using scaffolds from Dr. Anita Archer's book, Explicit Instruction, we will share effective writing scaffolds that will positively impact your students writing and comprehension of grade level text. Sentence Framing is an easy and effective instructional strategy that will give your students confidence in their writing and the ability to access grade level writing content. Using this simple teaching strategy teachers will gain knowledge of their students writing and comprehending ability. We look forward to learning together!
